Moreton Bay Prostate Cancer Support Group Fundraising Raffle | RaffleLink

Get in quick as only a limited number of tickets!

Redcliffe Hospital Urology Department has decided to do a charity fun run in order to raise much needed funds for our local prostate cancer support group. Moreton Bay Regional Prostate Cancer Support Group is one of 30 volunteer support groups in Queensland affiliated with Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia (PCFA). Initially established at Redcliffe Hospital in 2012, the group now convene meetings out of a Health Precinct in North Lakes.

The group's main aim is to provide support to men and their families with newly diagnosed prostate, men living with prostate cancer, men currently going through treatment and survivors of prostate cancer. This group offers men and their families a chance to connect with others about their diagnosis; improving support and reducing isolation and depression. The group offers members and families a wide range if information and resources to further help them understand their diagnosis and prognosis.

Even though this support group is a member of PCFA they do not receive any funding from them and the majority of their funding comes from Bunnings barbecues; enabling them to create brochures and provide refreshments. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 most of their fundraising avenues have dried up, so the Urology team at Redcliffe Hospital is seeking support from the community to help raise some much needed revenue.

We are conducting a 10km fun run, or 5km walk, in Redcliffe to help raise awareness of Prostate Cancer, but also of the support group. We will be conducting an inline raffle with delightful prizes to help fundraise for this support group. Every ticket sold helps to provide support to men and their families currently struggling with prostate cancer. We, the team at Redcliffe Urology department, and on behalf of Moreton Bay Regional Prostate Cancer support group, thank you for your gratitude and kind support.

Tickets are priced at $3 each, 2 tickets for $6, 5 tickets for $10, 8 tickets for $15
