When conducting a raffle fundraiser in VIC, SA, TAS, your prize pool value will determine whether you require a raffle permit.

 

Up to $5,000 in prizes Over $5,000 in prizes
  • No permit is required for your planned raffle.
  • Although you do not require a permit, there may be other legislative requirements.
  • Tasmanian regulations do not apply to online raffles where the organisation is not based in Tasmania.  If your organisation is based in Tasmania, then the Tasmania regulations will apply.
  • To conduct a raffle in Victoria you are required to be “Declared” by the Commission which requires 28 days to process.
  • In Victoria Commercial Raffle Organisers must hold a license from the VCGLR.  RaffleLink holds such a license.
