The Abbey Museum of Art & Archaeology is committed to enriching people’s lives through the celebration and exploration of the fascinating stories in human history.  We do this through our many events and programs.

Tickets are priced at $5 each, 5 tickets for $25, 10 tickets for $50, 20 tickets for $100

Prizes

1st Prize valued at $2,200

1) 4-metre Bell Tent from Psyclone Tents - This beautiful canvas bell tent is 2.5m high at its tallest point, and includes a fly screen door, roof air vents, and floor windows for increased airflow.  The canvas is fire retardant and mould resistant.  It comes complete with a canvas carry bag and all pegs, poles and ropes with metal tensioners.

The tent material is a 340 gsm polyester canvas blend, flooring is a heavy duty 520 dam PVC, and features official YKK zips.  This tent is simply amazing!

Psyclone Tents is Australia's original supplier of high-quality cotton canvas bell tents, covers, canopies + solar panels based in Coburg North, VIC.

2) Stahl Patio FirePit - Made from 6mm thick plate, comes flat-packed and is easy to store when not in use.  The firepit is a sturdy 29kgs (H: 21cm x W: 51cm x L: 51cm). Stahl Firepits is based in North Lakes, QLD and their products are made locally in Australia supporting local businesses.

3) Medieval inspired Kitchen Knife set by Red Hart Reproductions - 14th and 15th century kitchen knife set. Interpreted from several historical examples from the late medieval period, these knives are hand made of 1075 carbon steel. Hardened and tempered to approximately 50-60 Rhc. Adorned with a simple filed and riveted steel bolster, offering an elegant transition to the handle. Constructed with a full tang, clad with hardwood scales and secured with brass pins. These knives are completed with a hand-formed Cuir Bouilli (boiled leather) veg tan scabbard. Each knife has its own sheath inside the encompassing scabbard, holding them firm while being transported or worn.   Red Hart Reproductions is a Brisbane based armoury specialising in high quality Medieval products for living history, Museums and Film and Television.


2nd Prize valued at $210

1) Wooden trencher, bowl and spoons - Folk art wood-burned, beautifully finished and made by Krista Bjorn.  Krista thrives on her South Queensland farm and has an Etsy shop ‘RamblingTart’ where she sells wood-burned spoons, knives, boxes, and other household items.

2) 'Abbey Made' Teddy Bear - The custom medieval garb for "Sir Bruno" has been hand-made with love by our volunteer sewing team here at the Abbey Museum. He is one in a set of six teddies to be released in The Abbey Shop on October 1st.

3) Abbey 2020 Spiced Mead bottle # 001 - Signed and numbered by the mead maker, this Abbey 2020 Mead was on sale this past July, and sold out in just 5 days (although we saved a few for this raffle!).  The mead maker is Amrita Park Meadery from the Noosa Hinterland, QLD.

4) Custom Clay Cups - Set of two medium clay cups with a blue enamel coated inside and rim. Handcrafted in Australia for the Abbey Medieval Festival and are engraved with ‘Abbey Medieval Tournament’ on the underside.  Available in The Abbey Shop.

5) 'Abbey Made' Medieval pocket - Our Abbey Made medieval pockets, which were worn by both men and women tied to their waist or belts, are made with love by our in-house volunteer sewing team. Available in The Abbey Shop.


3rd Prize valued at $90

Terms & Conditions

The Raffle commences on the 1st of September 2020, closes on the 30th of October 2020 and will be drawn on the 31st of October 2020 at Online at 10 am. Persons under the age of 18 years are unable to enter.
